Accessibility statement.
The standard we work to, what we have done about it, where the limits are, and how to reach a person when something does not work.
01Our commitment
Total Energy Solutions wants everyone who works with us, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this website. We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we adopt the Level AA additions in WCAG 2.2 where they apply to a site like this one.
02What we have done
- Pages are built with meaningful headings, landmarks, and a skip link, so screen reader users can move around them directly.
- Everything works from a keyboard: the menus, the state list on the service area map, the inquiry form, and the dialogs, which close with Escape and return focus to where you were.
- Keyboard focus is shown with a high-contrast ring on every control. Text meets the 4.5:1 contrast minimum, and the brand red used for small text and buttons was deepened for that reason. Form field borders and the focus ring meet the 3:1 minimum for non-text contrast.
- Text can be enlarged to 200 percent, and pages reflow to a 320-pixel-wide viewport without sideways scrolling.
- Images carry text alternatives. Form fields have visible labels and a required-field legend; when something is missing, the message is announced to assistive technology and the first field that needs attention is brought into focus.
- Animations and transitions are reduced for visitors who have asked their device for less motion.
- Links and buttons are sized and spaced for touch.
- We do not use an accessibility overlay widget. Those tools do not fix an inaccessible site, and we would rather fix the site.
03Known limitations
The customer portal (Axxis) and the online credit application (NetNow) are run by other companies, and we cannot change how they are built. If either is difficult for you to use, call us and we will take your information by phone or email and handle the rest.
The interactive service area map has a text alternative: the state list beside it carries the same information.
Some photography is illustrative; its text alternatives describe what is pictured.
04How we check
This site was reviewed on October 23, 2026 with automated checks on every page for color contrast, accessible names and labels, heading structure, landmarks, reflow at 320, 640, and 720 pixels, and target size; with scripted keyboard tests of the navigation menus, the service area tabs, the inquiry form, and the dialogs; and with a review of the accessibility tree that screen readers read. It has not yet been tested by a person using a screen reader. We repeat the review whenever the site changes in a meaningful way.
