What we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
01Who we are
Total Energy Solutions Inc (TES, we, us) is a wholesale fuel distributor at 2085 S Cottonwood Dr, Tempe, AZ 85282. This notice explains what information we collect through totalenergy.net and in the course of doing business with you, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
It does not cover the customer portal or the online credit application. Those are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy notices (see External services).
02What we collect
Information you give us. When you send an inquiry, request a quote, call, or email, we collect what you provide: your name, company, email address, phone number, the location and state where you need fuel, and what you tell us about your operation, such as products, volumes, timing, and notes. Business contact details count as personal information under some state laws, and we treat them that way.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard web server logs for security and reliability: IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the time of each request. This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies and uses no tracking pixels or fingerprinting.
Credit applications. Applications for a TES account are completed on NetNow’s platform. The information you enter there, which can include financial and ownership details, is collected by NetNow and shared with us to evaluate credit. NetNow’s privacy notice governs its handling of that information.
When you use the inquiry form, it prepares an email in your own email app for you to review and send. Nothing is stored by this website until you send that email.
03How we use it
We use the information we collect to:
- Answer your inquiry and quote supply.
- Set up and manage your account, deliveries, and billing.
- Coordinate the carriers that deliver your fuel, and, when you ask us to arrange lubricants, our partner America’s Energy Inc.
- Send operational communications about deliveries, invoices, and your account.
- Protect this website and our business, and meet legal obligations such as tax, fuel regulation, and record keeping.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
05How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward in case you come back to us. Customer account records are kept for the life of the account and for the retention periods that tax and fuel regulations require, which run to several years. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.
06How we protect it
This website is served only over HTTPS with security headers that restrict what can load on it, and it runs no third-party scripts. Form submissions are delivered into our own Microsoft 365 system, and access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; if you believe your information has been mishandled, please contact us using the details below.
07Your choices and rights
Whoever you are, you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or tell us to stop contacting you. Email akash@totalenergy.net or call (480) 766-6343.
Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Texas, and Utah, have specific rights: to know what personal information we have collected, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy of it, and to opt out of the sale of personal information or its use for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, respond within the time the law requires, and never treat you differently for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may also contact your state attorney general.
Because this website does not track visitors across other sites, there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off; where such a signal applies, we honor it.
08Children
This website is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
09External services
The customer portal (opens in a new tab) and the credit application (NetNow) are operated by other companies; their terms and privacy notices apply when you use them. Links to Sinclair, Marathon, and America’s Energy Inc. lead to sites we do not control.
10About this website
Some photography on this site is illustrative and does not depict TES vehicles, facilities, employees, or customer sites. The Sinclair and Marathon marks belong to their owners and appear here to identify the brands we supply. Figures on the site, such as the states we serve, describe the business as of the effective date above.
11Changes to this notice
When we change this notice we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes that affect existing customers will also be communicated directly.
